Crowns and Bridges
Dr. Macks offers both Dental Crowns and Tooth Bridges. Dental Crowns are fixed prosthetic devices. They cover the tops of damaged or decayed teeth. Dental Crowns are cemented onto the existing teeth and should be removed only by Dr. Macks.
Tooth Bridges are fixed, but removable. They are recommended if you are missing one or more teeth. The Bridge spans the space where the teeth used to be. If there is nothing placed in the space where the tooth used to be, the other teeth will eventually rotate or shift into the empty spaces.
A Dental Crown covers the damaged tooth entirely. It also is used to improve the tooth's appearance, shape or alignment. The Dental Crown can also be placed on top of an implant to provide a tooth-like shape.
